How we apply a ceramic coating

A coating is only as good as the paint underneath it, so most of the work happens before it goes on.

Hand wash & dry

A careful hand wash and dry to get the loose dirt off without adding marks.

Decontaminate

Iron fallout remover and a clay bar lift the bonded grime a wash leaves behind.

Two-step machine polish

A cutting polish removes swirls and dullness, then a finishing polish refines the gloss.

Panel wipe

Every panel is wiped down to strip polishing oils so the coating bonds to bare paint.

5

Coat it

The ceramic coating goes on panel by panel, plus wheel faces and glass.

Inspect & hand over

We check the finish with you and run through aftercare before we leave.

Why Protect It

Gold Coast sun and salt are hard on paint

Ceramic coating questions

How long does a ceramic coating last?

Our 2-year coating is rated for up to two years with recommended maintenance: regular pH-neutral hand washes and no automatic brush car washes. A ceramic spray sealant lasts up to 6 months.

Why do you polish the paint first?

A coating locks in whatever is underneath it, swirl marks included. That's why every Ceramic Coating starts with a two-step machine polish (cut, then refine) so the paint is corrected and glossy before it's sealed.

Will it stop scratches and stone chips?

No. A ceramic coating adds a hard, slick layer that helps resist light wash marks, UV fading and bird-dropping etching, and makes the car much easier to clean. It won't stop stone chips or deeper scratches.

Can you coat my car at my place?

Yes, it's fully mobile. A coating needs to go on out of direct sun and rain, so a garage, carport or shaded driveway is ideal. Let us know your setup when you book and we'll confirm it works.

How soon can I drive and wash it?

You can drive it straight away. Keep it dry where you can and hold off washing for about a week while the coating cures. We'll go through aftercare with you on the day.
